on the way to baltimore

my dreams must come true.

if it were up to me, things would

stay just like this. in my heart i am nothing. in my mind i am free. i am absorbent. each day i am removed further from the

truth.

docile.

it’s still hard for me to talk about. but i’ve lived a thousand lives since then. i’d been waking up next to him for so long. everything was the same.

this summer changed my life. i know this is only the beginning. it’s always just the beginning.

i tell people i am selfish. my grandmother told me this at a young age. selfish, vain, stupid. all three true. has this always been me or have i been molded this way? i don’t know who i am.

this pen is all i have,

too, and myself and myself.
